Examination Guide

How to approach the exam:

1. Use the topic guide on the next page as a review sheet to familiarize yourself with the general exam topics. The guide isn’t meant to provide perfect coverage for the examination, or be used as the sole source of your preparation.
2. Go through the related course and study each topic carefully. For each major topic:
   • Go through the content as an active participant. Pause frequently and take charge of your own learning.
   • Make sure to get hands-on practice where applicable, and study from other sources where suggested.
   • Test yourself using practice questions. See how well you can do without looking up answers.
   • Think about what might be on the exam. Write a few of your own practice questions.
3. Don’t wait too long. Take the exam! You don’t have to pass the exam the first time, because you can take it again!
   
4. When you take the exam, read the introductory pages carefully. You can take as much time as you like for the introductory pages.
5. Once the timer starts, you have 60 minutes for 20 questions and you cannot go back to questions you already answered.
6. If there are questions that you think were poorly written, or incorrect, let us know at training@rapidminer.com even if you do not precisely remember the question.
7. Regardless of whether you passed the exam, take time to think through topics that might still be unclear. Take charge of your own learning and review those topics. If you haven’t passed the exam yet, try again.
